Overview
MBZUAI provides fully funded scholarships for its graduate (MSc & PhD) programs in AI and associated fields. Accepted full-time graduate students are offered 100% tuition coverage plus other support benefits such as a monthly stipend, accommodation, health insurance, and a visa for non-UAE nationals.
The funding is integrated into the admission offer rather than via a separate “scholarship application” in most cases.
MBZUAI also runs a Graduate Research Fellowship Program, which provides additional stipend support.

• Tuition: 100% tuition waiver for the duration of the program
• Stipend: typically AED 8,000/month for MSc students

The scholarship is automatically awarded to all admitted full-time Master's and PhD students who meet the high academic requirements (minimum CGPA of 3.2/4.0 or equivalent). No separate scholarship application is required. Applications are reviewed holistically, including academic background, research potential, and performance in the technical screening exam/interview.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.) for MSc applicants
- Minimum GPA / strong academic record (often 3.2/4.0 or equivalent)

- For PhD: Master’s degree in a relevant field, research experience, letters of recommendation, and a research statement
